It is the best ! At least it is in my opinion. What a way to start the day. I like initiating it. Being subtle, or maybe a bit more aggressive, depending on your partner and the mood. I even delay the first coffee of the day for it  . A lot more fun than my morning work out and I would venture to say it has almost the same cardio vascular value . Do you enjoy morning sex? Are you the initiator? Do you object if your partner starts it?

I had a bit of a scheduling problem this morning and had to get out the door to the Godson before I could post in the blog. Of course, I get there, get them fed breakfast and then their Dad comes home very early do to power issues at work. So I am FREE!!! the rest of the day . So I think I will share some thoughts (from others) and insights. No laughing!
No Sex Tonight !
One evening last week, my wife and I were getting into bed. Well, the passion started to heat up, but then she said "I don't feel like it, I just want you to hold me."
I said "WHAT??!! What was that?!"
So she said the words that every husband on the planet dreads to hear..."You're just not in touch with my emotional needs as a woman enough for me to satisfy your physical needs as a man."
She responded to my puzzled look by saying, "Can't you just love me for who I am and not what I do for you in the bedroom?". Realizing that nothing was going to happen that night, I went to sleep.
The very next day, I opted to take the day off of work to spend time with her. We went out to a nice lunch and then went shopping at a big, high-end department store. I walked around with her while she tried on several very expensive outfits. She couldn't decide which one to take so I told her we'd just buy them all. She wanted new shoes to compliment her new clothes, so I said lets get a pair for each outfit. We went on to the jewellery department where she picked out a pair of diamond earrings.
Let me tell you, she was so excited. She must have thought I was one wave short of a tsunami. I started to think she was testing me because she asked for a tennis bracelet when she doesn't even know how to play tennis. But, I think I threw her for a loop when I said, "That's fine, honey." She appeared to be almost nearing sexual satisfaction from all of the excitement. Smiling with excited anticipation she finally said, "I think this is all dear; let's go to the cashier."
I could hardly contain myself when I blurted out, "No honey, I don't feel like it." Her face just went completely blank as her jaw dropped with a baffled, "WHAT?"
I then said "Honey, I just want you to HOLD this stuff for a while. You're just not in touch with my financial means as a man, enough for me to satisfy your shopping needs as a woman." And just when she had this look like she was going to kill me, I added, "Why can't you just love me for who I am and not for the things I buy you?"
Apparently, NO SEX TONIGHT either!

August 7th is Purple Heart Day - a Day to Honor America's Combat Wounded and Fallen Heroes
Today is an important day. A time to remember those that have served in our military and have suffered combat related injuries and even death. These injuries follow us through the rest of our lives and are bitter sweet memories. A simple smile, handshake or a quiet thank you makes such a difference. In my community we will be having a ceremony at the Purple Heart monument that was erected so many years ago. I make certain that I am there for it yearly. Are you a recipient of the award ( I am), do you know anyone who is? Take a moment today and remember their sacrifices
Each year on August 7th, Americans pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who were either wounded on the battlefield or paid the ultimate sacrifice with their lives. The Purple Heart is awarded to any member of the U.S. Armed Forces that has been wounded or died as a result of a wound in battle. This now includes those persons who died in captivity while a prisoner of war (POW). We now celebrate Purple Heart Day on the anniversary of its inception, August 7th. On this day it is our patriotic duty to remember and recognize those people willing to serve our country, no matter the price.

We have not shared a cup of coffee in some time. Today is perfect day for it here. The day is starting well. It is sun shiny, just a bit cool and so quiet on the back deck. As most of you may know, I am a coffee guy, especially first thing in the morning! It just seem to start the day well. A hearty beverage, savory smell. Perfect for sharing with your partner. In my opinion, the only beverage that equals it is a cold beer, but that is a story for another time. There are so many methods of preparation, I think I may have tried most of them. My current favorite is the Keurig pod type coffee maker, I guess I am getting lazy. Would you join me for a cup of coffee (I think we could figure out tea or hot chocolate if need be)? Do you have a favorite way to make it? Is there a particular brand you enjoy?

One advantage to being retired is thinking about retirement. It is a new adventure after working all your adult life. If you are like me, you are more than willing to share your wisdom with anyone that does not run away first . It does take time to adjust to your new schedule, or lack of schedule. One problem though is hanging out with all these old folks  . Are you retired? If not, when do you plan to retire? Here are some thoughts about retirement.

It is •National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day!!! For a "cookie monster " like me, the celebration brings tears to my eyes.There are so many shapes, sizes and formulations . Everyone's Mom, Grand mom, Aunt , has their own recipe, even if it is using pre packed dough , yes I have seen it done that way. Other than the obvious yummy taste, the mixing and making of them can be a lot of fun also. Any ladies want to help baking chocolate chip cookies? . Do you like them? Do you have a special style you make? If you are like me, do you keep a stock of chocolate chip cookies on hand?

Wow, it is a hot and humid summer here! Especially the humidity, what a crimp in the playtime it can be. Perspiring, or as some say sweating seems to be intruding into playtime, no matter what you try to do. Well it does if you are very involved . My question is, if your playtime evolves into a sweaty situation, does it ruin your fun? Do you stop your activities? For me, it does not. We are already sharing such intimacy that a bit of sweat does not bother me. We can even take shower breaks to cool off. And the fact that there is even more of an opportunity to shower together is a bonus. What are your thoughts on a hot sweaty sexual encounter?

In every occupation, there are people that get just a bit uppity . They put their mouth in gear before they start their brain. This can result in some hilariously stupid "stuff" . Today I am going to pick on lawyers. No particular reason , except I love arrogance being squashed. I will readily admit that in my profession before I retired, I have had "verbal misfires" that I regretted immediately  . Have you ever witnessed these types of things, or have you "committed" one?
ATTORNEY: Doctor, before you performed the autopsy, did you check for a pulse?
WITNESS: No.
ATTORNEY: Did you check for blood pressure?
WITNESS: No.
ATTORNEY: Did you check for breathing?
WITNESS: No..
ATTORNEY: So, then it is possible that the patient was alive when you began the autopsy?
WITNESS: No.
ATTORNEY: How can you be so sure, Doctor?
WITNESS: Because his brain was sitting on my desk in a jar.
ATTORNEY: I see, but could the patient have still been alive, nevertheless?
WITNESS: Yes, it is possible that he could have been alive and practicing law.

I have been observing the blog community and came to the conclusion that many of us are rather naughty . That naughtiness is expressed in many ways. Some subtle and others not so much . I believe that most partners enjoy subtle teases. It is like foreplay to me. Certainly not to cause pain, just to slowly start down the path to fun. Are you naughty? Do you enjoy your partner being naughty with you? It does take a level of confidence, but when I reach it, no holds are barred

Why lose an opportunity ? I have always been adventurous during play time. I think that playing while in , on or around a chair is fun. The positions provide different levels of intimacy and usually just feel naughty . No rush and seemingly more body contact. I have several FWBs that enjoy it, because they can be more in charge and control the playtime. I am really ok with that . It also provides an opportunity to be more spontaneous , which always a good thing. Do you enjoy adding a chair to your playtime? Have you ever done it?

This is a subject that I have mixed opinions on. What is a sexy sleep wear in your opinion? Do you wear it to please your partner, or is your selection purely for comfort and utility? I enjoy when she takes the time to wear something seductive for me. But am just as happy when she wears nothing at all. I am generally an "au natural" guy for my sleeping.

I have seen and read so much about Fridays. In real life, it seems to be taken with proper behavior, although inside I am certain there is joy, waiting to bubble out. In written and pictorial items, there seems to be some hilarious versions of Friday! How do you handle your Friday? Is it a "look forward to" day to you? Do you have rituals for Friday? It is a day that I enjoy most types of humor, just getting a fun high before the weekend. I especially enjoy senior humor.
